In The Eye Of The Beholder

Silence, it shivers in the wind
Candles under the dancing moonlight reflect silent memories
The space and time of this place is bending
This field of sorrows I am tending
The rivers of remorse I am soaking
Into the sponge of guilt and fault
I forget what I came here for
And I lose my own sense of feeling and thought
But that’s not always how it seems
Even for me

What was thought of as a dream
The fabric of it’s being became a waking reality
Weaving in my eyes are the hands of time
Marking it’s designer’s intelligence behind each trace
Each magnificent step ahead, ahead of the game
I don’t bow before what I see
I see through it all, and in it all, I can see
How can one deny
The potency and inspiring breath of our majesty

The foundation of time
And ideas of origin
Meddled with and tampered with
But still being fed to us, being fed to them
And they still believe
They still believe what they all say

Let them have a voice, whether right or wrong
They’ll learn for themselves what they did wrong in the end
And they’ll accept for themselves the due penalty for their error
The error of their corrupt ways is undeniably wicked
And so I say
In my eyes, given in design and led by pureness
I see a world fallen and broken
Becoming more stained by war, famine, iniquity and death
That stain will be hard to wash off
Yeah, it’ll be hard to wash away
For all the nations as they came
