Ship in a Bottle
I found a ship in a bottle
With a little pirate at the wheel
He was steering with so much conviction
He didn't know his choices weren't real
How dumb must someone be
To try and steer a ship in a bottle just floating
I'm happy that isn't me
Now that I've seen the bottle I can never un-see
That I'm on a ship in a bottle
Helpless to the whim of the sea
Someone please break the glass of the bottle
I'll probably drown but at least I'll be free
How dumb must someone be
To think their tiny ship has any meaning
But maybe their life's what I envy
They're blind and they're wrong but they're those blissfully
I hate my ship and this bottle
I just wanna kiss them goodbye
And If I weren't so afraid of the water
Maybe I'd actually try
How dumb must someone be
To spend all their time afloat thinkin' bout how they'll sink
The bottle won't let me forget
No it won't set me free not for a moment
I found a ship in a bottle
And I waved to the pirate inside
I guess we're friends now and I oughta
Keep all these thoughts locked in my mind
Hope he doesn't mind
