Confirmation Bias
The beginning of life, the ending of lives
It all boils down to the next generation
You saddle your kin, with the mess you created
Mass-produced, consumption-spirited self-mutilation
It's time for that kin, to take a stand
And unite the burdened to overturn the old congregation
The youth seek the truth and we aim for enlightenment
Yet we keep those in charge of the class-separation
Do you think your pop-culture can change the world?
Just keep on screaming into your bubble of agreement
I don't think these songs I write will change the world
But I'll just keep on screaming in my bubble of agreement
Do you think your pop-culture can change the world?
Just keep on screaming into your bubble of agreement
I don't think a thing I'll do can change the world
Yet it helps me fool myself into thinking I matter
Revolutionary action in the age of distraction
Seems about as void as the change that we are after
At the root of the problem, confirmation bias is the core
If you demonize the class that you claim you're fighting for
