PLAY TO WIN
[Verse 1]
His daily operation filled with struggle and stress, tryna move pieces without a buzz
All the kings on the corner showed love
Though every step was a risk, just wanted to keep his battleship afloat
No clue when he lit the tip of the candlestick in the den that he’d unmask lifelong friends
Saw trouble but popped a double, now he’s moving again
A few more moves and he wins
Every domino that fell was a spinner
The choices came in spadеs like [?] possible
Some saw this pursuit as trivial, needеd a miracle to make it
But he boggled the mind with the word placement, far from basic
Took no chaser, shot it straight
Plus his poker face was perfect
Could this walk on the river be worth it?
All he knows is he’s trump tight though some might question if the mastermind is destined
You get the message?

[Verse 2]
He wasn’t sorry for the moves made, just tryna get home
Sliding shoots and climbing ladders was the strategy
It had to be ‘cause solitaire’s the only method he’s known
Suited for this perfect sequence of events
And after he got that off his chest that night, no more Ls
Just Scrabble for words to babble with this story to tell but could only Connect Four
He couldn’t string a sentence to describe the card in hand
It was taboo
The pressure on his cranium was draining him, just wanted to dream
He is on go with suicide, the other side was liberty
A monopoly was close, it gotta be
One more railroad to track for the faculty and that was that
He played the game well, victory on the horizon
But to stay sane at this level, all lessons just keep applying ‘cause momentum is easy to get but harder to maintain
The whole process is a never-ending game

[Sample]
These are two different skill sets, alright
You’re learning how to rap and make songs and write lyrics and become better at lyric-writing and storytelling and everything that comes along with writing songs and learning how to be a phenomenal rapper to stand out from the crowd
And then what happens is that you’re over here and you’re like, “I wanna learn how to make beats too”
So what happens is you’re splitting your time in half
You’re like, “I wanna be great at this, but I wanna be great at this”
But when you got to do something else, you still have to learn all of the elements of it and practice it everyday to get great at it
And it takes time to get great at it, even if you’re superb and amazing at this
