Well I woke up this morning from a reoccurring dream
You and me still in the 2020 quarantine
No matter how I tried I just couldn’t escape
Tomorrow never came, I was stuck in yesterday
Oh somebody please
You gotta help me now
I got PTSD from all the fear of missing out

Turned on the news to see what they had to say
They found a new way to make me even more afraid today
Went out to find a quiet place in the shade
But the Amazon trucks backing up took the silence away
In and out of sleep you’d never guess who I did see
It was Alice through the looking glass
And then she said to me

If you go chasing rabbits be careful what you find
The truth you seek might just blow right out the back of your mind
No matter where you look ain’t nothin never gonna make no sense

I searched the internet to find the meaning of life
There were 7 billion people arguing over who’s right
I saw a movie just to try to clear my head
Some comic book dude tellin me how to be a man
Mama’s in the basement lookin for a friend
She’s on a zoom with Alice who says, Ok here’s the plan

You work all of your life to find a place in the sun
Long as it’s bigger and better than the neighbors’ one
First they hand you a nickel
Then they hand you a dime
Then they charge you fifteen cents for wasting all their time
I went to the doctor
Asked him to help me please
He wrote me a prescription and it began to read
