The streets are clogged for a Sunday evening
Even though there's no snow on the ground
People heading out to celebrate
Next year will be here a few hours from now
I don't usually make plans for this evening
There's never been any i keep
I just watch all the socialization
Accidentally keeping me at arms reach

There'll be champagne popping till three
Sneaking in hotel bars, getting cocktails for free
Then there's me

My friends are all out for the evening
Dressing up in their glitteriest clothes
My family's down in the basement
Their laughter echoes through the halls
Maybe if it were any other evening
It'd be fine to be a party of one
But December thirty first is a holiday
For spending time with the ones that you love
