More Than A Day
One lonely little woman said she knew my name
Stretched out her hand toward me and called me the same
She led me to a place not very far away
Though maybe that was cos it was a Sunday
But now the trees are turning into green
And a blossom blooms while the pot begins to sing
Walking in dreams that I can't quite recall
She wandered toward me unknown
When I was aware of her presence, I felt
I knew her from somewhere before
She came to me in such a quiet gentle way
I knew I'd be with her more than a day
Having made the tea, we sat and talked for so long
The conversation didn't seem to bore me
She spoke of how she felt so very young
But looked like she was getting on for forty
But now the sun is stronger than it's been
I feel I am a victim of her sin
Walking in dreams that I can't quite recall
She wandered toward me unknown
When I was aware of her presence, I felt
I knew her from somewhere before
She came to me in such a quiet gentle way
I knew I'd be with her more than a day
As time went by, we had to held another cup
And she had since frozen, I was sat by me
I felt that now she looked so very young
Or maybe it's me who's getting older
But now the trees are shedding all their green
And tea's been made since early in spring
