The time I've been allowed

Over half the things I've tried

I painted over the holes

I got my coat stuck in a car door

The same day i look for the sunset face in these

These overflowing news streams are turning into floods
I'm tryna stand my ground but i'm slipping in that muck
I've even worked real hard to buy the sturdiest of shoes

With stitching and laces that wouldn't fall apart
To shield against this never ending media surge
Distraction on my souls are keeping me submerged
