Race Car Driver
I told her that I was a race car driver
I told her that I loved to drive real fast
I told her that I got her plates
And if she tried to run she couldn't get away
I told her not to even ask
My place was not that bad
It had a decent system with a bed in back
And not half bad company
And though we had our fights
The time we passed was not just night
Living seemed to be easy
One day she ran away
She left me here in a terrible state
I had to get back on the highway
The cars, they past, they came
Sometimes they'd slow down to see my face
I didn't need them anyway
