mud

When I wake up I'm a tree
Squirrels and birds live in me
And in the Shade of my leaves
Until I fall back to sleep

I've grown so sick of this red sun
Dried up my leaves now I'm no fun
I'm stuck I'm trapped inside this mud
But one strong breeze and I'm undone

Some of these red bricks
Are so much older than me
Filled with cracks and with nicks
Will they be here when I leave
