The dark is much more comforting
Drifting from shadow to shadow
I'm a figure unknown
A faceless apparition
The light becomes painful

Helpless and miserable
I mistake this time as factual
Resting in my eternal sleep
A sea of crumbling dreams

This void can't be true
And I cannot find the strength to leave it
This dust is my kingdom
And crumbling it falls too

A terrible struggle with misfortune
Of that I am fortunate
To fight an unwinnable shadow war
