Tsuki Ga Kirei (Oregon Trail Freestyle)

Caleb Penney

Get your rest they say
And don't be stressed
They say
You're too young for this
Pick your head up a bit

I can't lie
I've been, playing too much Oregon Trail
Keeping meals bare bones
And my bars beat stones
Singing shanties while it hails
Come up on some camps
What I wanna know
Stargaze, or learn about the people I chose
Hoping somebody comes and gives us food
So we can get to our true home, aye
I been feeling a little bit lonely
Maybe I'm just missing the homies
Maybe I'm insane
But my hygiene ain't that great so
Maybe I should change clothes
Take a shower, leave my home
Doing a self quarantine playing games
So I don't deal with the people I know
The real world, kinda sucks
So maybe I should keep it away
Sit down take a break and listen
Cause "get some rest" is all they say
Who's they? I don't know
But they seem happier than me
So maybe I should take their advice
Get some sleep
And maybe one day I too can be happy
Get some rest, and maybe one day you'll continue
Let your head down, pick it up
Leave the heart guarding to your retinue
Chin up, chin up
We finally made it there
The blood, sweat and tears
Made it worth it
And now it's time we rest
While we stop and stare
Beautiful mountains, waterfalls too
But that's what I see in-game
In reality, my LEDs are blue
Still in my room, what a shame
But to be honest, I don't sleep
Even though my pillow's a foot away
I sit in my chair from GTRACING
And type new songs- tap tap tapping away
Time to get up, I'm running low on songs to write
But, maybe that's a good thing
Now it's time to sleep, tell the game goodnight
I wish that I could sleep
But I'll stay up watching anime
Tsuki Ga Kirei, until the daylight
I only rest when the moon goes away

Get your rest they say
And don't be stressed
They say
You're too young for this
Pick your head up a bit
