Windchimes
There's a new day on the horizon
Nothing is set in stone
Departing or arriving
The children cry and moan
I'll be like windchimes in a twister
I'll claim it with a whisper
Our own weathered track
Barefoot in a blizzard
Walklin a wire undelivered
Crossing' over that river
Filled with smoke and ash
A Star fell from the Heavens
Like snow late last night
Wishin' don't stick in Dallas
But this time I think it might
I'll be like windchimes in a twister
I'll claim it with a whisper
Our own weathered track
Barefoot in a blizzard
Walklin a wire undelivered
Crossing' over that river
Filled with smoke and ash
There's a new day on the Horizon
So I'll grit my teeth and go
Towards a world a little less frightening'
What I leave behind when I go
