A country road I walk
A tight road drawn in chalk
With a child hand in hand
To the promised land
And if I stumble off the line
I’ll be blown away in time
And forever walk unseen
Through the world between
And Houston I stayed awhile
With a girl with an angel smile
And a lazy summer room
With a stove and a silver spoon
And a tv made us laugh
And I sat in a shallow bath
To a terrible country tune
In that summer room
So on a highway I do walk
