Kill It

Dylan Martin

So sorry, I can't be with you tonight
However, I couldn't completely miss the chance to take a
Moment to share some thoughts with all of you

They tell me to chill bro, i'm ill though, slick like a silk robe
If we was playing poker, dawg I know you will fold
If you don't like me now, after this you still won't
I'm in the middle of spittin' this shit and i'm real stoned
You see, I came along way from being that neighbour kid
I don't envision the pay i'd get, just on my major shit
Imma make it, I keep repeating myself more than history
Haters dont get to me, on my way to victory
That's my mission see, you don't wanna go against this emcee
I'm never quittin' wit' clever spittin' i'll be forever shittin'
On these rappers who never listen, only worried when their cheddars missin'
I'm above that, this shits all I want cause I love rap
Helped me when I was struggling and going through a rough patch
If you don't like me, you can lick my fuckin' nut sack
And get the fuck back, cause I don't wanna deal with your shit
No one is like me cause they say "i don't feel what you spit"
I'm sick of motherfuckers paying me out as if it was bail
They want me to fail but i'm finna fuckin' prevail
Starting out slow like a snail, but i'll grow and unveil
The greatness, this is just the basis, y'all can't wait to taste this
Sooner or later they gon' know what the fuckin' name is
They consider me one of the lamest, let's see how fast that changes
Spittin' nothin' but true shit all up in your ear like a Q Tip
The beats ill cause I produced it, and my vocals are too sick
Fuck anybody who says they lost love for me
Soon i'll be tourin' the world as if I did cross country
Eventually i'll run it, and never fuckin' plummet
That'll be painful and anaesthesia couldn't numb it
I ain't afraid of the future, just the pain i'll deal wit
All the shit i've gone through I bet they think I will quit
But I dismiss and spin em real quick like a drill bit.
Why get done for attempted murder when I can kill it?

The lesson I cherish the most, is how important it is to love what you do
If you love what you do, and it's making you happy
All the hard work and perseverance will pay off
When you know you're truly giving it your all
There's no greater feeling in the world
I once had a guidance councillor, tell me that I shouldn't play basketball
That it would never amount to anything for me
You know what, much to your surprise
I took that councillors advise
I took it and I used it to be the best basketball player I could be
His negativity towards me, made me stronger
You can't stop people from trying to limit your dreams
But you can stop it from becoming your reality
Your dreams, are up to you
