Somnia
Cassidy Saenz
The twilight puts me in my right mind
I guess that's why I write right now
These words take flight and find the moon's shadows
They're clear and bright despite what you'd expect
She beams day to night
Strips the blindfold so we can see
What's hidden from all those oblivious day-walkers
But what's the use in writing of her beauty
When I wake she'll just be gone
Sure it won't be long until she comes back
But who could wait
I can't wait
I can't wait
I can't wait anymore
So I pry my eyes until the skies light up again
Crash in a daze
Drunk in a moonshine haze once more
She beams day to night
Strips the blindfold so we can see
What's hidden from all those oblivious day-walkers
