We were always alluring
Nights passed as mosaic reflections became shattered roses that lay beneath our feet
Ceviche dishes served by the lords
Refusing to eat we step upon glass
The cuts became bearable over time
Shards glisten, they never listen
Days pass, we gasp
If only they reformed the rose, but it will lay shattered
