Dayton’s Train
We drove at midnight through the valley of dangling trees
We felt so deathly, we felt like the only ones around
The distant trains whistle to warn
But the tracks seem so harmonious
Alone at the lodge now, and yet again
No one is around
Love can be difficult, love can be freeing
Love can be anger, love can be the only happiness you seek
The shadows pass by like oil paint on the move
The mirror shows faces of past memories
I shake my head in hopes of vanquishing
The industrial life was never for me
Why am I here? When can there be a conscious escape?
Love can be difficult, love can be freeing
Love can be anger, love is the only thing I need
