Fawn to a Lion

Yaakov Kafka, Simple Man

Singing out His miracles, just to be reminded
My eyes could've been blinded
But instead, steps are guided
And all of my needs are yet provided
Feeds the hungry, strengthens the weary
When I call out, no fear because He hears me
Liberator, there's no one greater
Than the Sustainer Who straightens the bent like a retainer
Spreads the earth over the deep
Protects us all like King David with his sheep
And even the bound are bound to be released
Waking up from the sleep, rising up like the yeast
Oh, grateful for my peace
I don't need another piece

From the night through the dawn
To a knight from a pawn
From a fawn to a lion
Crying out praises, no more denying
From the night to the dawn
From a fawn to lion
We came to Zion from Mitzrayim
