Dinner Song

Wipe down the table with a wet cloth
Get a new tablecloth from the draw
Spread it nice and flat with no wrinkles
Set the chairs so they're evenly spaced out

Start with the teaspoon, so small and shiny
Then set the knives with the blades turned in
Two sizes of fork if you're having an entrée
The largest size on the inside

Are we having desert?
Lay a spoon and a fork up above the plate
It's so quite and still
How I wish I could fill up this empty space

Set up a candle in the middle
Leave room for a bread-plate on the left or right
Open a bottle with the fancy corkscrew
Chicken or beef, red or white

Turn the lights down low
Put on some ELO
But don't bring me down

Now the table is done
And it's time to have fun
