I have an idea, I'm like "oh this is like the greatest idea I've ever had", this sounds like, amazing in my head, I'm gonna do this
And then I start doing it, and I realize, like, I have no frickin' clue what I'm doing, this isn't, like, perfect
I change one little thing, and it like, explodes into-death
This is the worst thing I've ever made in my life
And then I just stop
It-it repeats, a lot. Those ideas, I like to think that it doesn't completely go away
The lack of knowledge I have of certain terms, and certain basic fundamentals of music theory—it contributes to how little I am able to push myself to do, because it's so much easier to sound design when you're not actually sound designing
I would be making stuff for Monkey EP and it's like, "Rani's part sounds really interesting, so I gotta make something fitting so that it flows and has consistent quality." And when that didn't happen, it made it feel like I was falling short, because I wasn't-like, I'm not as experienced as you
Do-, I had enjoyed a couple sketches that I made, and then going back on them a couple months later it's like "wow, I really hate this."
It's like, looking back on those, it's kinda like, "why- why did this not go how I planned? Why did I think it was good back then, and now it sucks?"
Um, and when things don't go my way- when I don't get it right, it just- explodes my, um, confidence as a- um, producer
