Leaving Side of Town
She said I'll be in late again
And she don't answer the phone when she's gone
Out with friends now it's two a.m. and she's just getting home
Now it's the same ol fight
I just don't have it in me tonight
She's been over on the leaving side of town
Where you go when you don't want to be found out
Where the lights are low and the beer is cold
And shadows hide but there ain't no doubt
You're risking forever after foolin around
On the leaving side of town
I've never had to worry before
But this distance in between us feels like a mile
I'm not sure when she's out the door
If she's ever coming back again
All this back and forth is so confusing
I think I might be losing my mind
