Last Night (I Dreamt That You Were Dead)

Last night I dreamt that you were dead
Caught in a car crash, you passed away with a friend
It's not my fault, it was unconscious
But I'm so sorry, though it was unconscious

I remember it felt so bad
My pillow got wet, I think I really cried
It was such a pain to know I'd never see you again
It's such a pain to know I'll never see you again

Then all we've done together is gone…

If only it meant I'm getting you out of my head
To have such a dream, to fantasize you're dead
That would relieve me
But it might take a little more time
And it's a shame that it takes such a long time

I must say I feel happy
To know at least a secret part of me
Wants to get rid of you, because I'm not sure I do
I'm scared to lose you, though I never even had you

And all we've done together is gone...
