as ancient as the darkest depths
condemned to a task
whose burden would break giants
hiding in every corner
consuming souls forever
haunting the living
culling the weak
cries of loved one
fills the grim skies
the cycle goes on
life travels souls
at the end we shall
all leave the earth
the reaper broken by lonliness
shall rest
in eternal peace
