My Uncle Duke

My Uncle Duke is really not that strange
Lives in Arizona riding the range
Hangs in a pool room with his favorite cronies
His eyes ain't immobile like the other 'Zonies

Well he got married to an Iowa girl
He really loves her
He calls her his pearl
They dance to Glenn Miller at the Arizona fair
In cowpoke garb
They make quite a pair
Well he can't sing a note
Never gave it a try
When he tries to whistle
Sounds more like a sigh

But his heart's full of music
And his outlook is good to have lived through the depression
Thinks everybody should
