Look What We've Become

When i met you we both were young,
Young like flowers in bloom.
Didn't need to deceive our eyes
To see each day like new.

Any place, we belonged,

When i met you we both were proud
Of the way we kissed goodnight.

We believed in things to do,
We believed in our time.
We believed in me and you,

Changed places are always sad
And memories do funny things to you.
Three bad days, two green eyes, one red coat
And i can see you.

Memories can be painful too
When they're mixed up with lies.
Mine are bred in the finest days
Of my fine but common life.
