Cancel Me

[Intro: Allen Jackson]
But this is the first time they've encountered death threats
Not some idle threat, from some crazed person at a distance, these people had orchestrated Jesus
Being tortured to death, and now they're saying, "We're going to do this to you"
It's a credible threat, and it's the beginning of the finsh- the physical punishment
They're gonna be beaten this time, before they're released
It's escalating
There's challenges within the church, people with selfish ambition and greed are lying outside the church
The threats are intensifying, and in the midst of that is this remarkable move of the Spirit of God that's causing this bad behavior from all sides
Because there's growing attention and growing momentum, in the midst of the people of God
There are people that wanna run to the front of the parade, and say, "I'm a part of that"
But they don't wanna do what's required to be there
And on-on the outside of what's happening, there are people who are threatened by it
They understand, they understand the big picture, if this keeps growing, they'll be displaced
They'll lose influence, they'll lose opportunity, they don't intend to lose opportunity or influence
So they're gonna shut it down, no matter what it takes
Cancel culture is not new

[Pre-Chorus]
Ain't nothin' what it seems
Life is a movie
E'rything's scripted
They don't like that I do me

[Verse 1]
They don't like that I'm unleashed
They don't like that I don't feed in the likes on the newsfeeds
They don't like that I see through the smoke screens
And the dopamine fix you get, clicking on your phone screen

[Verse 2]
Lookin' at me like a loose cannon, ever since I took shots at that dude, Cannon
Man to man, man, I ain't even mad, no more, long as we ain't gotta hear no more of you rappin'
My bad, had a flashback, think it's time that I take rap back to the back pack, fact that
I get lumped with a bunch of wack grand dads, gettin' laughed at, nah, dawg, can't have that

[Verse 3]
I on't know what you take me for
But I'm gettin' tired of people playin' favorites, so
If I put it like this, this is for them hatin' phonies, claim we homies
Knife out waitin' for me to turn my back for their first chance to shank me, homie
You better recognize the pedigree of Cain, now, dawg, he
Ain't no little house dog, can't train 'em, homie
Can't control me, clone me, or claim they own me, 'cause

[Pre-Chorus]
Ain't nothin' what it seems
Life is a movie
Everything's scripted
They don't like that I do me!

[Chorus]
They don't like this, they don't like that!
They don't like facts! Fact is, baby, they don't like truth!
They don't like me! They don't wanna see me, here!
I ain't goin' nowhere, though, 'cause I'm cancel proof!
Who? Hell nah, wait up, you could cancel who?
Tellin' me I can't say what? Really, says who?
Every word that I say lives after me
So, even death can't cancel me, yah!

[Verse 4]
Look, I don't think you understand my job description
But how can they see where I'm goin', without the vision?
See, I've been sent here by my God, I'm on a mission
So, I don't listen to y'all opinions, only He can tell me when my job is finished
And, He ain't tell me to quit, yet

[Verse 5]
So quit that cryin', like, "Oh, baby", dip set half y'all won't get that
But don't trip, rapper, get back to the top, if you gotta carry it on his back
Chit-chat on the internet, got me sidetracked, my bad, know I gotta do better, I bet
I get heated by the evil that I'm readin' in my comments, Luke 6:28, God bless

[Verse 6]
I only exist so that truth can exist, in a world full of lies
Why gain the whole world if, when your life is over, your soul is the prize?
You tell me I'm trippin', I tell you your vision is gon', man, you blind
Still can't see the signs that we're in the end times?
Then you better wake up, time to open your eyes

[Pre-Chorus]
Ain't nothin' what it seems
Life is a movie
Everything's scripted
They don't like that I do me

[Verse 7]
Straight white male, leave it up to some of y'all, I go straight hell, right?
Just another white devil, right? Guilty for a bunch of things that I never said or did in my life
What about ya' song double standard?
What about it? I'll double down on it, yeah, I stand on it
And if you got a problem with that, them facts, what you got a problem with, man? It's that

[Verse 8]
Simple minded people 'bout to make my mind explode
Politician lies, how many times they get exposed?
'Fore you realize, they divide us to control
Everybody's lives, always fight over skin tone

[Verse 9]
This week it's Ye, next week, only Lord knows
That's why we pray for the strength, while the storm blows
Can't even say what you think, it's just door close
I hate to say I told you so, but it's all foretold

[Verse 10]
Yeah, these days the biblical state of the planet is critical
Chips in your head make it digital
Currency, herding the sheep to the slaughter for satanic rituals, rah,yeh
They call it Conspiracy, y'all can't put fear in me
Threatenin' smearin' me, death isn't scarin' me, don't think you hearin' me
They're blurrin' these lines, and they're doin' it, purposely
