Mask
Carefully cut within the lines
Chiseled deep from all the lies and carved away
Held together by a tie, a string of thorns and cries
A history full of fears
Lust is all that can be seen as those lips seductively pull me, they pull me in
You’re blackened heart is your present pain blackened by a past of misery and shame
I paint a smile upon your face not knowing that you’re just a waste
Pale face white as ghost
Like the sky in your eyes
Lips sketched with my blood
It’s burning my flesh
Am I in denial
As I past on my smile
Soon your mask will fall
It’s clipped by a thread
I’m so confused by what you do and I just wish I knew
Then you look to me cutting through me leaving scars and wounds
Thin porcelain piece of glass, placed carefully just to mask
You’re fucked up past
List is all that can be seen as those lips seductively pull me, they pull me in
You’re blackened heart is your present pain blackened by a past of misery and shame
I paint a smile upon your face not knowing that you’re just a waste
Pale face white as ghost
Like the sky in your eyes
Lips sketched with my blood
It’s burning my flesh
Am I in denial
As I past on my smile
Soon your mask will fall
It’s clipped by a thread
Your Mask; You’re Eye
You’re truth; In lies
I paint your face with all I am and I have nothing left
I take your mask and put it on to hide my pain again
I’m seeing clearly what you’ve done and who you really are
All I can do is be like you and cover up my scars
