Moonspliff

Mauro De Decker

Sixteen years old life seemed so big
We Were drinking beers till we became sick
We were unnamed guys seeking for the dark, and we were rolling cigarettes in a nasty park
We had laughter while we were in pain
We driving way to fast down to memory lane
While we're supposed to watch the sunset as it goes down
Laid on our backs, feet in the sand
Watch jahmoon rise with a moonspliff in our hands
And we were dreaming about flying, as we jumped that cliff
And we would lay down on that beach, smoking that moonspliff
And we were dreaming about flying, as we jumped that cliff
And we would lay down on that beach, smoking that moonspliff
Driving to fast, on our new bikes
Seeking for that moonlight that is floating in her eyes
But she don't wanna go on that trip, she wants to stay on the beach and smoke another spliff
But we were dreaming about flying as we jumped that cliff
And we would lay down on that beach, smoking that moonspliff
But we were dreaming about flying as we jumped that cliff
And we would lay down on that beach, smoking that moonspliff
If smoking makes the sun come up than we'll have always light
Let me role another spliff and burn that thing up thight
Cause we're the new generation and we are seeking for creation
We are all the same but we aren't standig as a nation
And we stand on the edge and we must risk a dive, cause no one is expecting expectable life
