My papa's story kinda sad
'Was just a baby when he lost his dad
So he was raised by his loving mom
Who worked hard every day
She fetches water from afar
And so her hands were full of scars
As she goes from house to house
To wash clothes for some pay
I cherished the times when you took care of me

She was fighting for her breath as she's lying on the bed

When I was born things've gotten better
We had good food and lots of laughter
Mama would cook the most delicious meals like it's Christmas eve
She raised up 7 awesome children
And in their lives you see her reflection
So I grew up in a house of love with wholesome memories
