Who is Your Real Friend?
Who is a real friend?
Once upon a time there was a king.
He was a bit different from the other kings.
Usually...
People have animals like dogs,
and cats as their pets.
But this king had a monkey...
as his pet in his palace.
Even the people and the ministers made fun of him.
But he did not bother.
The king and the monkey were thick friends.
And they were always together,
from morning till night.
One day the king after his lunch...
wanted to take rest,
and laid down on his bed.
The monkey sitting next to him
took the fan and fanned him,
and allowed him to have a comfortable sleep.
A fly came near the King's face,
and was troubling him.
You fly...
How dare you come near the King's face and play?
Get out...
Don't get angry.
I wanted to see you and the King,
to clear my small doubt.
If you have a doubt,
come to the court and you will get the answer.
Don't spoil the King's sleep.
Go away.
Only the King is resting.
Let him sleep.
You atleast try and clear my doubt.
Ask me quickly,
and leave this place.
The King will wake up.
Nothing.
People say that you and the King...
are both very foolish.
I heard it myself.
I want to find out whether it is the truth.
How dare you come and ask such a question
to a faithful person like me,
and talk rubbish about me and the King.
Look what I am going to do to you
As the monkey raised his arms
the fly flew away,
and came and sit on the King's shoulder.
You cannot catch me.
You will be dissappointed.
Let me see...Whether it is you or me?
As the monkey raised it's arm,
it took the knife next to the King,
and tried to kill the fly and as it flew away,
he pierced the knife into the King's heart,
And the King died.
The monkey realised the danger...
that occurred due to its ignorance,
and escaped from that place.
Moral:
The moral that we learn from this story is that...
we should not keep fools around us.
If you are friendly with such people,
we ourselves will be affected.
