Looking out at the world and wondering what happened

So much hurt, hearts destroyed
And I don't know if I've adapted

At everything that's hurt me

What does the future hold for me

It feels like life is a race

Sometimes life feels like prison
But I know it's worth livin'

This world makes it difficult to know what to believe, but the truth is in our creator

All these assumptions that just ain't true
Am I really strong enough
To face the weight that is comin'
to face all the pain that is runnin' at me
But I want you to know that

All the things in this world out of proportion they've swirled
All the things in this world man they've got me unfurled
How does the future look I hope it's not full of pain
Cuz Livin' in this world man it's left it's stain

I think I'm lookin' back cuz I don't know what to think
Of my past, of my present, in my future I could sink
