My job is to frighten

Past moments behind and constantly trying
To stop knocking and prying
At time and it's ways have my crying
When I look in the mirror I'm dying
Old me coming back like Benjamin Button rewinding
I'm slowly untying
My need for the pressure I be applying
I used to be thriving
Now I'm slowly prescribing
Ink to cover the pain inside
And slowly compiling
Therapeutic seeds planted in rhyming
