Are we there yet?
No we're not
What's equality?
We forgot
We see colour on the outside
Much more than who we really are within
We don't care for what our neighbour needs
Instead our hearts are filled with greed
And all we do all day is ask ourselves:

No we're not
Is artistry even
Worth a shot?
Get good grades in school, then get a job
Get married and have children young we're told
Buy a house and raise your children well
Help them get good grades
To fit the mould
Are we there yet?
No we're not there
Not just yet
Can't you see if you're not true to yourself
Then you live in regret?
No we're not there
We're on our way
Life is more about living
And less about what others say
