Butterflies Have Feelings Too

Monarchs in my windowsill
Whisper little nothings
They leave me in the morning cause
They all see it coming

I just wanna hide away
Find myself in a better place
Counting stars in the dark
Through my window
Facing cars
Breaking hearts
On the downlow

I just wanna sleep at night
Look at my phone but the screen is too bright
Can't really focus with all this music inside my head
Won't even get up to water my plants before they're dead

Finding new ways to make you more proud

These butterflies are frightening me

Only come out in the light of day
