When was the way it used to be
When kids could live life peacefully
Without living in a state of fear
With the vision seen so clear
Of life that it could've been
Mistakes made before us
Thrust our issues into Him
Hope he'll finally hear us

Edged into the timeline
The tree of life has rotten
The memoirs of an age
We have forgotten

It seemed so perfect yestеrday
But now peace just seems so far away
The wound in thе Earth has been exposed
The blood seeps out and kills the hope
That one fateful day it will all be over
