Twenty-Something

I was like most kids
Living my life in naivety and
Unaware of the world and
Its harsh ways
And now I miss that
I miss that feeling of bliss
And letting all my worries disappear
Into nothing

I tried so hard
In all that I did
Things that would push me far
Don't matter now cause

I'm twenty-something and lost
Feeling detached from everything
And the point where I thought
I would be hasn't come
So easily
My views have changed
And I am learning
Who I am again
And I'm coming back around to find
A simpler side of me now

Knowing where I wanted to be

The ones that I want back
