Dear Friends where do we begin
It's been so long since we just sat
And talked without reserve
Dear Friends there's so much to say
But we must abandon our old words
And find a better way
Because I refuse to buy
That hitting me is loving me
And I refuse to trade blow for blow
Even though I may want to

To agree or even hear

If it's up to me I'd like to live
At peace with everyone

It's best to see yourself out let's try another time

That you can say whatever you want
Attach a Bible verse and call it love
Even though it's all you know to do

A way to lay down your sword
