Man, it'd been a long day
I was sitting in that standstill, out on the highway
Twenty miles from the house, looking out at the brake lights

I saw a cold beer here, next right, high up on a billboard
So I hit the shoulder fast, and I put that old Ford

I walked in, sat down
Was just gonna have one round

It was just a little small talk
And a couple shots at an off the highway hole in the wall
That turned into a dance, that turned to last call

I walked in, sat down
