Ligeia Mare

Cold on the surface on Titan
The sun is so far away
I look at the rings in the sky
Saturn is our light

Looking down from our flying vehicle
Just barely floating in the air
Sometimes I wonder where our water comes from
Maybe it's that hole in the ground below

The kids grow so weak
Stuck here on the moon
Can't go back from where we're from
Too used to the lightweight world

Sitting under the heat lamps at night
I still wonder where we come from
Why have we taken over this place we're not even from?

Governments find all their plans
Testing on all of us now
To see how we fair
In such a frigid place

So far away from the origin
Methane, hydrogen, nitrogen
Never to leave
Take this as the comparison of Lake Superior
Put it by the sea

Wondering what the kids grow up to see how this grew
I don't know about you, but, man, it's cold down here
The geysers are launching out of the mountains
Is all we've known for so long
