I Miss Myself
Remember me?
He’s out there somewhere looking for a joke
An entrance to the party that he doesn’t know he hates
He’s somewhere in the garden growing weeds out of the plants
I bet he’s looking forward to the day that they ruin all of his plans
And I could try to talk to him but he’s too cool for me
Cause he’s got all this energy that I can’t seem to beat
It’s too far forward
Can somebody turn the clock from the shelf?
And it bites me whеn I’m sleeping
When I think about it I miss myself
He’s juggling his ordеrs
Taking all the best
Keys left in his locker but he makes it with the rest
So he’s somewhere that matters if whatever place to be
And all things considered I’m not sure he’d look for me
I could try to talk to him but he’s too cool for me
Cause he’s got all this energy but he’s level as can be
It’s too far forward
Can somebody turn the clock from the shelf?
And it bites me when I’m sleeping
When I think about it I miss myself
I’m sorry that it got this bad
But I’m thinking he’s the only friend I’d ever had
Shame with everything that I’ve let it get this bad
But I’m thinking he’s the only friend I really ever had
It’s always the last place that you look
That you find yourself in
It’s too far forward
Can somebody turn the clock from the shelf?
And it bites me when I’m sleeping
When I think about it I miss myself
