I Will Soon Forget

The big sky
The short grass
Dirt swept off of home plate
A bee stings
And then dies
I am quick to forgive
I put on
A brave face
Make my way off the field
Concerned eyes
And claps from the parents in the stands
It sounds like big raindrops, falling on a tin roof
The kind of rain that keeps you inside
The pavement smells that way
(It hit right on the back of the head, the side of the head, at 100 plus miles an hour, And he's staying- And Gray is looking at him like at least fall down, That's my best ball you didn't even flinch
