Clumsy Mending
Emma Copp
Stitching the seam of my blue floral skirt
It's a crooked bit of self repair
No ladylike hand, there'll be scars left to see
But I'll leave a mark I was there
A graham cracker house built on gingerbread dreams
I hope you cannot see me crumbling
And when I fall down, go ahead and leave me be
I'll return to my clumsy mending
