Ice Cream Embers

Her mind is without cohesion
And he's such an American lesion
They walked down the aisle by club and hacksaw
With the new in-laws all looking on with lockjaw

And when their deep-fried wings get clipped,
Can they keep the charcoal lit?

As they remember yesterday?

They found a low-rent one-room dwelling
