Beneath The Waves

This writhing grasp
It chokes the breath from me
Shadows dance before my eyes
Obscuring all I see

Though I am bound
Dark figures pass unseen
Their sharpened tongues spit bitter words
Of spite and fallacy

How am I here?
What has become of me?
Arcane powers slowly rise
Yet veiled in secrecy

Their piercing gaze
Stares deep in to my soul
My blood now turning
So cold

Hidden deep beneath the waves
Within a prison outside of time itself
No light will ever reach this place
Where an ancient evil slumbers endlessly

Few know it's truest name
Such words have power and never should be spoken
Its dreams cast shadows on this earth
It's bonds have weakened and soon they will be broken

The chants grow louder and fill the chamber
Grotesque effigies stare down, my end is surely near

Unearthly horrors subjugate my senses
Stupefied by blinding terror, overwhelmed with fear

A deafening howl hits me like a giant's fist
Senselessly I succumb to the utter bliss
My body I give freely in sacrifice
To summon he who waits, willingly I pay this price

I pay this price

A vision of darkness now freed
Abyssic roars send forth waves of decay
In deathly strides taken from the sea
A terrible majesty upon this world now holds sway
