Come Down

Philip Miller, Robert Sabochick

Sometimes I'm coming down, when everyone's around
But I'm feeling kind of free, there's nowhere I gotta be
So I'll sleep on through the sunrise and in the morning
The rain was pouring so I stayed inside

I worry all the time that I'm getting left behind
But a lazy summer day you know will make it go away
A thousand different roads and they say I've gotta choose
And its not that I won't dare it's just I don't really care

(I'm happy) Sitting on my throne
As all my friends get stoned
I wear a heavy crown
But you'll never see me frown
Perhaps the world should come down
And try to listen
'Cos what they're missing
Well, it's all around

I wonder why it is that we keep it all inside
But what bothers me more is that it still gets us by
And understand that my advice is not to waste away
I just don't think it's worth it to worry every day

Sometimes the world will wear you down
And you're tired because they're all just clowns
And what matters the most is never quite close enough to stick around
But what they never counted on
Is that it's a choice to play along
There's no road set in stone so I'm going it alone
And I'm happy here just...

Sitting on my throne
While all my friends get stoned
I wear a heavy crown
But you'll never see me frown
Perhaps the world should come down
And try to listen
'Cos what they're missing
Well, it's all around
