Christmas Day
Snow falling all around,
Invites a calmness to the town,
Lights on the Christmas trees,
Enchanting everyone who sees,
It’s Christmas Eve,
And there’s a sparkle in the eyes,
Of children gazing to the sky,
They wonder the same thing,
What will Santa bring?
Maybe there’ll be, a present for me,
Hiding beneath the Christmas tree,
Will it be big, will it be small?
Will he bring anything at all?
Does he know the way, what’s on the sleigh?
Will he get in the house ok?
Will he say hello, before he goes?
Could it be my best Christmas day?
Twenty four open doors,
Tomorrow there won’t be anymore,
Long was the waiting,
Tired little eyes resist sleeping,
Cards on the wall,
Show nativity scenes,
Reminding us, that Christmas does mean,
More than it seems,
Maybe there’ll be, a present for me,
Hiding beneath the Christmas tree,
Will it be big, will it be small?
Will he bring anything at all?
Does he know the way, what’s on the sleigh?
Will he get in the house ok?
Will he say hello, before he goes?
Could it be my best Christmas day?
Giving can be just as fun,
As receiving from someone,
Maybe there’ll be, a present for me,
Hiding beneath the Christmas tree,
Will it be big, will it be small?
Will he bring anything at all?
Does he know the way, what’s on the sleigh?
Will he get in the house ok?
Will he say hello, before he goes?
Could it be my best Christmas day?
