Awake in your bed, underwhelmed and unfed
Obsessing about what you said
You said you were spent
Said I knew what you meant
But I can't stop shaking the feeling I get
Walk up those steps
Remembering a joke that I'll forget
Leave me out on the curb with the rest
Designed with a flaw, educated in law
And miserably resigned to a job
A job is a job, dull and always at odds
Making plan after plan and then calling 'em all off
Clenching my jaw and taking a sip through a Krazy Straw
Leave me out in a pond just to drown
