What is life?
So often just an oversight
The only thing we think about, on the nights that ain't doing right
Think about the time we have and how it always slips away
And regrets we leave with loved ones on the day they pass away
What to say
Condolences for starters
We carry on their legacy and with hopes that it goes farther
A parent's parent transcends and has to say goodbye
Meanwhile a baby starts breathe and scream their very first cry
But either way, all this to say
Got a lot upon my mind and even more I can't explain
Thought of birth and life and death and wondered what comes after
Is it ending the series or just the start of the chapter
I think these thoughts all the time
And effects that the butterflies can contribute to mine
If you look at it deeper, the threads of Fate intertwine
Every day building tapestries
Everyday's but a line
The life we live can move so fast
You close your eyes it's in the past
How many times I feared we'd crash
I'm thanking God we made it back
So if you cry make sure to laugh
I know this life can't be so bad
We gotta love all that we have

Don't understand
Only ask for solutions
To questions, I've yet to have
I know a lot, but still not nearly enough
I'm still sailing emotions to moments I've yet to touch
The fear that hinders every risk you take
The moment when your hands begin to shake
The overthinking and sensation of sinking
And the self-imposed restrictions
When your heart needs a listen, yeah
I was afraid of even taking a chance
And if I had to be honest I think I'm still hesitant
But if this has been my dream, since before I was ten
Tell me why do I fear if this I can turn to
Now, when my heart is upset
Where I lay proof down
To prove its more than pretend
It feels like this is more than it seems

This is purpose of being
