Animals Are Different

Animals are different, compare a mouse to an elephant
Some are hairy, some are rough, meek and gentle, some are tough
Animals are not the same, some are wild and some are tame
But we love them just the same 'cause they're different

Animals are big or small, thin or fat and sometimes tall
Some have very scary eyes, take an owl, now he's so wise
Like an eagle in the sky, or a tortoise he can't fly
And just like you and I we love them all

Take a penguin or a polar bear, they live out in the snow
Where lizards and snakes never go
Take a fish in the deep blue sea, a dog or a cat or you or me
Animals will never be the same

Animals are different, skunks and turtles have a scent
Some can bark and some can howl, an ox is used to pull a plough
Take a donkey or a horse they are different and of course
We love them just the same, 'cause they're different

Some are blind and some can see, monkeys jump from tree to tree
Lions and tigers they scare me and sand spiders and a bee
Ones that crawl along the ground, snails just don't make a sound
Big or small we love them all, 'cause they're different

Take a bird or a butterfly, they go just were they please
Flap their wings and float up in the breeze
Take a cow or a crocodile, they're so different when they smile
We love them, we love them just the same

Animals are different
They fly or run
We're so lucky to have them, they're so much fun
